Team Driven Success

Moffat County Christian Academy Board of Trustees may bear the ultimate responsibility of  the well being of the school, but the Board promotes the mission of the school by promoting the Christian concept of  “The Body”. To come together as teachers, parents, volunteers, and board members to use all our individual and God given gifts to plan and steward the schools many gifts and resources.

Board Areas of Responsibility

Strategic Guidance
The main purpose of the MCCA Board of Trustees is to set strategic direction and goals, develop an overarching vision for the organization, and partake in advancement of the school through working with staff. Our board sets organizational objectives for varying teams, who then translate strategic goals into more measurable and specific tasks.

Ambassadors to the Community
Board members champion MCCA to the community at large and are responsible for representing the interests of the students, parents and teachers.

Policy Governance
The Board of Trustees functions as a policy-making body for issues such as financial responsibility, compliance with applicable legal guidelines, and MCCA’s business dealings. Our board members also create policies governing the appointment and duties of board officers, including the board chair and vice-chair, secretary/treasurer, as well as board committees.

The Board delegates day to day operational leadership and accountability to the Principal of MCCA, and monitors his performance. Under this model, it is the Principal’s role to make the day-to-day decisions during school operating hours and to ensure that the organization meets or exceeds the boundaries and metrics established by the board.
