Moffat County Christian Academy has Administration and Staff that love the children and who love helping them learn. A solid education built around reading, writing and math coupled with the Bible as a lamp unto our feet makes this a program to nurture and guide every child to experience the love of Jesus. The teachers and aides work to provide a setting where students will regard school as an exciting and safe place to explore, learn, build confidence, and make new friends. Administration handles day to day operations and supports the teaching and aide staff diligently.

Teachers & Aides
I have been with MCCA since 2015. I have taught and worked with first through fourth grades. Currently, I am teaching the third and fourth graders and have been the last 4 years. Each year I have taken the ABEKA training videos taught by expert educators. and was able to join the Vernal ABEKA school for in-person training to learn how to best offer my students a classroom environment that promotes learning. I am always willing to learn and grow any way I can to help better educate the students, especially about Jesus. I was raised in a Christian home and have attended church my whole life. Since moving back from Grand Junction I have attended New Creation Church. I have really enjoyed being able to teach about Jesus, and be in an environment with others that share the same love.
I teach 5th and 6th grade class. I’m a believer of Jesus Christ and I’m a church member at the Journey the first Baptist church of Craig. I started going there to teach Bible class on Tuesdays for the preschoolers. At that time, I was attending Ridgeview Church of God. I have one son who is 24 and I lost my oldest son in 2015. This is my third year at Moffat County Christian Academy. I have been living in Craig since 2003 and I have lived in Durango, CO where I went to college then lived in the Denver area and Fort Collins and back to Denver for 6 years then moved back home to Meeker, CO until 2003. I also have graduated from the community college in Craig with an Associate Degree in elementary education. I also worked at the Moffat County School District for 11 years.
My name is Louise Thomas. I recently moved to Craig to be closer to my family. Denver was my previous home, where I cared for my elderly mother. My educational degree is from Colorado State University with a BA in Art Education. My family history is filled with teachers. My mother always said, “A day that goes by without learning something is a day wasted”. Creativity is a strong point of mine and it carries through into my teaching and learning style. Besides being reliable, detail-oriented, resourceful and not being afraid to tackle new things, I have a strong desire to see others succeed with a heart to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, attempting to live my life as He wills.
